Versatile Country Desk

*I was compensated for this post with supplies, however all content, thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hey friends!

It's Monday again and we had a hard working (but fun) weekend. The remaining paneling is out of the study and my boys are working on removing the layers of wallpaper. I worked on some custom orders and a couple others that I plan to sell. And best of all we saw our city's fireworks. We watched them right from our backyard as they are set off just a block or so away.

Also, I had a customer pick up this gorgeous country desk I had just finished. When I initially found it I thought it was such a great and versatile piece. I picture it being used as a desk, entry console, dining room buffet or sofa table.

Repaired & Refurbished MCM Dresser

*I was compensated for this post with supplies, however all content, thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sometimes you should just walk away from a craigslist sale. This was most likely on of those times.  Yet, we still came home with this dresser.  Call it an extreme case of annoyance and just wanting to be done with the transaction. We're still not sure.

Patina Green Side Table & Chair

*I was compensated for this post with supplies, however all content, thoughts and opinions are my own.

One of my very favorite colors to use when painting furniture is General Finishes Patina Green.  It lends more towards aqua, than a true green. To me it is exactly like the shade of green you might find on an old penny.  I think its the perfect color for both antique and vintage pieces.

Updated Vintage Radio Cabinet

Hey there friends. I hope you all had a great weekend! Saturday we stayed home and worked on projects (I'll have a great MCM dresser to share with you at some point soon.) (I'll also share with you why I ended up having to scrape decades old wallpaper off our office walls, really soon too.) On Father's Day we decided to go for a hike, which was a fantastic time and much needed because, I'm going to be honest with you all, the bathroom reno is not going well and were starting to stress about it. (I'm hoping to write a post about it in more detail on Wednesday.)

Two Toned Nightstand (& Contributor Post)

Hey there friends!

This week has been both flying by (I have been painting custom order like crazy) and dragging at the same time. I swear to you, I woke up yesterday thinking it was already the weekend. But, sigh, we still have a couple of days to go.

Hey there!

You all know as part of my (constant) redoing of our home/little furniture business I have, I am frequently scouring thrift stores/flea markets/craigslist/antique stores/yard sales for the very best pieces of furniture.

Today, I thought I would share with you all my top tips that I keep in mind while out furniture hunting.

DIY Color Block Cutting Board

Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing my contributor post that originally ran on Jennifer Rizzo Design.

I have such an easy and inexpensive project to share with you.

Lately, I have been craving natural wood accents more and more. I love the rustic and casual vibe it can give to a space, especially when it is paired with a small touch of paint.

(Crafting your Heritage) Easy, DIY Worry Beads

Happy Monday!

I'm sure I must have mentioned this in the past, but if not, I'm half Greek. Actually, everyone thinks that I'm Italian because of my last name (hello...it's called getting married). (FYI, my other half is French Canadian, although I look absolutely nothing like that part of my family. In fact, growing up, people frequently didn't realize my mother and I were even related.)

Anyway, as a nod to our heritage we always had worry beads in our home. I remember when I was younger, I would grab them and say, "I'm so worried...I'm so worried." Seriously, though, I am chock full of anxiety.
